Andrew Calkins is Executive Director of Mass Insight Education, a non-profit located
in Boston. The mission of the non-profit is to make standards and testing work
successfully in the state of Massachusetts.
His organization has compiled an extensive
website identifying successful Massachusetts schools and the practices they used to
become successful.

His prior experience was in directing a non-profit called
"Recruiting New Teachers" whose mission was to increase the supply of qualified new
teachers for public schools, especially from minority groups. He is a graduate of
Cleveland area public schools and of Harvard College.
